Day 1 – Rio de Janeiro State

Day 2 – Rio de Janeiro State
Full Day City Tour Corcovado and Sugar Loaf with lunch Corcovado Half Day After a beautiful scenic drive along Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon beaches and Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, passengers arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado hill where they will embark on a comfortable train which will go along the beautiful Mountain, where the statue of Christ, the Redeemer, overlooks Rio in a magnificent panorama. Sugar Loaf Half Day The tour begin with a visit to Downtown with a stop at Metropolitan Cathedral, then we’ll drive to “Praia Vermelha”, to take the two-stage car up to the top of Sugar Loaf (270m), which grants the entrance to Rio’s harbor and Guanabara Bay. The first stage is Morro da Urca with 170m, with a restaurant, amphitheater and helicopter-point. The second stage goes on the Sugar Loaf itself.
Day 3 – Rio de Janeiro State
Options: Full Day Tour of Petropolis or Full Day Island Tour with lunch Full Day Petropolis Tour This city is located in the Serra dos Orgaos, only one hour from Rio de Janeiro. There we will visit the Imperial Museum, old summer residence of the imperial family during the 19th Century. During our stay in Petropolis, we will visit the Crystal Palace and the Sao Pedro de Alcantara Neolithic Cathedral. We will be able to see a fabulous collection of art objects and jewels, including the famous Imperial Crown. Full Dau Island Tour Full day tour to the village of Itacuruçá, located 1 ½ hour south of Rio de Janeiro, with its simple fishermen houses. The typical boat that looks like a schooner cruises the Sepetiba Bay, an area rich in natural beauty. A stop is made for a swim and then the schooner continues to the island of Itacuruça where a delicious lunch self-service buffet will be waiting for the visitors. There will be a time to explore the Island before the return.
Day 4 – Rio de Janeiro State
Half day Rio Historical City Tour and Brazilian Samba Dinner Show Half day Rio Historical City Tour Central Rio is the main business area with a mixture of historic buildings. The down town area is where the 400-year-old city started to grow and is nowadays a very busy trade center. We will see the old Rio, with a specialized guide through Rio historical center. In this tour you will visit the São Bento Monastery, Praca XV (square), Candelaria Church, França-Brasil House, old Market Street, Imperial Palace, and will finish at the famous delicatessen in Rio – the Confeitaria Colombo. Brazilian Samba Dinner Show Night in Rio is a meeting point and makes the heart beat faster. Visit the “escolas de samba” as they open their dance floors for “rehearsals”(a combination of a party and a pep rally), in preparation for the coming Carnival. Begin with dinner at typical barbecue restaurant for a non-stop feast of Brazilian meats, salads, vegetables and drinks.
Day 5 – Iguazu Falls
Transfer out / flight to Iguazu Falls / Transfer in / Bird Park Tour Bird Park Tour The Bird Park is conveniently located at the entrance of the Iguassu National Park, and fully integrated into its natural surroundings. Mingle with and photograph hundreds of different native and exotic birds, snakes, caimans, marmosets and butterflies in spacious walk through aviaries and trails that wind through the jungle.
Day 6 – Iguazu Falls
Full day tour Brazilian and Argentinean sides of Iguazu Falls with lunch Iguassu Water Falls Brazilian Side Tour Our trip begins at the Iguazu National Park Visitor’s Center where we board for a drive through the subtropical vegetation of the park to the falls. Stroll the trail descending the canyon that offers the most panoramic view of the more than 240 different falls. Penetrate the mist of the Devil’s Throat on the main walkway. Take the glass elevator up the cliff face for a view from the upper deck. The Iguazu National Park along with its sister park in Argentina forms the most significant remaining rain forest in the southern cone which together with the cataracts has been declared a National Heritage Site by UNESCO. Iguazu Water Falls Argentine Side Tour Cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge with its lovely view of the Iguassu Canyon en route to the Iguassu National Park in Argentina. Visit the upper walkways which allow a different perspective and more intimate contact with the falls and adjoining rain forest filled with orchids, bromeliads, birds and other wildlife. The highlight of the trip is a visit to the suspended platform at the very brink of the abysmal Devil’s Throat – largest of the waterfalls. This trip shows you the highlights of the Argentine side.
Day 7 – Iguazu Falls
Makuko Safari Tour and Farewell Dinner Makuko Safari Tour Consisting of a trip in an open wagon accompanied by a specialized guide. Ride 2 km in the forest at a reduced speed, hearing explanations and curiosities of the native flora and fauna. We continue on foot up to the margin of the Iguazu river where a motor boat departs and takes the tourist on one of the most moving trips, where one has a close-up view of the falls, hearing the thunder of the waters, and getting wet in the mist of the falls. Unforgettable.
